A natureza açoriana gera desenvolvimento

Luís Neto Viveiros, Secretário Regional da Agricultura e Ambiente, anunciou, em S. Jorge, um novo programa incentivos à preservação das paisagens tradicionais (como a da vinha e dos pomares em currais, em fajãs ou socalcos) integradas em áreas classificadas.

Assumindo uma política com visão moderna e ecologicamente sensível, mostra como Natureza e as tradições agrícolas dos Açores se podem potenciar turisticamente a nível global, especialmente no segmento do Turismo de Natureza, aportando desenvolvimento ambiental, social e económico à região.

The Regional Secretary of Agriculture and Environment, Luís Neto Viveiros, in S. Jorge island, has recently announced new incentives for the preservation of traditional landscapes (such as the vineyards and the orchards in pens in coves or terraces) located in designated areas.This initiative shows concern towards modern and environmentally sensitive policy making. It also points to how Azorean nature and agricultural traditions can globally enhance tourism, especially in the nature segment, while also providing environmental, social and economic development for the region.
